We are hiring an Assistant to the Purchasing Agent to assist in with administrative tasks and follow up or orders of raw materials, track orders, close out purchase requests. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow established company purchasing processes and procedures.
• Follow up and help track purchases of raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies from suppliers (USA, Canada) 
• Review purchases and confirm specifications, quality and delivery for selection of vendors, price.
• Review vendor orders for accuracy, delivery dates, invoicing requirements.
• Monitor schedule and delivery dates of materials. Report issues with quality, quantity, delivery. 
• With receiving clerk, coordinate non-conforming materials for defective/unacceptable goods or services.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience purchasing or accounting of raw materials such as manufacturing or building materials (rather than finished products).
• Experience working in manufacturing, or service (HVAC, Electrical, Building) with basic understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, bill of materials.
• We prefer working knowledge of computerized purchasing and inventory control systems, but we can train. We use NetSuite as our Material requirements planning (MRP) for production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• You must be organized and punctual, able to to prioritize and carry out tasks in a demanding  environment.
• Must have professional written, oral and inter-personal communication skills. You represent the company to vendors, and support the production and management.
• Strong use of Excel, email and Google is a must.  

Drug Free Workplace: 

We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a preemployment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen. 
 

Hours, compensation and benefits: 

Full-time 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Rate starts at $25.00 per hour and it is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

After 30-day waiting period employees become eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, paid holidays and paid time off that increase with longevity. After 90-Days employees over the age of 21 may participate in company sponsored 401(k).
