CNC Machinist
Hiring experienced CNC Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills. Working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.
We have 10 & Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 with OSB 300L Control (Okuma 10SS and 12 running with sub-spindle live tooling). Our machines are 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis and Lathes have bar feeders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
- Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
- Must be able to work off of blueprints
- Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
- Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
- You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving.
- Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
- Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills. Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS a plus.
- Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
- General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
- Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
- OSHA 10-hour
Physical Demands:
Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10 to 12 hours, with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
